Manish Arora: Color Inspiration

I had the pleasure of touring Manish Arora: Life Is Beautiful at SCAD FASH last week with the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA). Arora is considered the premier fashion design of India and his whimsical work is absolutely breathtaking.

A Kaleidoscope of Color

Manish Arora’s designs are a combination of bright colors and playful exuberance. Born in Mumbai, India, Arora's fashions are a celebration of his rich cultural heritage, incorporating traditional motifs, intricate embroidery, and lots of colors. Think psychedelic paisleys, neon pinks, electric blues, and a carnival atmosphere that screams opulence. His designs are a celebration of life, love, and everything in between.

Hippie Chic Meets Haute Couture

Arora takes the free-spirited, bohemian vibes of the 60s and 70s and elevates them to the realm of haute couture. The result? Runway shows that feel like a technicolor dream, filled with flowing silhouettes, whimsical patterns, and a whole lot of glitz.

Inspiration for the Artist’s Soul
